The ageing process

A man was arrested for selling bottles filled with a liquid the he claimed slowed the ageing process. One officer said “check this guy out, I recon he’s done it before” The other officer said ” your right. He was arrested for the same thing in 1955, and 1998.DeJva Moo

Ageing… how many times are we going to get sucked into the bullshit?

I think therefore I am (sick, single, broke and unhappy)

After many years as a personal trainer, performance coach, and speaker on health, healing, communication, relationships and life, I have come to the clear cut decision that we all become what we think about every second of every day.stressed

Alright I can hear you now, “saying” oh no not another tree hugging, new age, hippie – smoking a joint and trying to tell me how to live my life. You can ask anyone who knows me, and they will tell you, that isn’t the case. I have just spent the last 25 years of my life talking to thousands of people about their life, health, body, relationships and view of the world.

It is your birth right to be healthy strong and vital, not to mention loved, joyful, and at peace. Have you ever wondered why there can 2 people, who have the same disease, and one will make a miraculous recovery and the other person will die exactly when they said he/she would?

We call it a miracle when this happens; Doctors call it remission. I have another word for it “Intention”. One person intended to make the doctors right and the other intended to make them wrong, I believe when you get down to it that is the main difference, now for the rest if this article It is my Intention to show you how to do it in all
areas of your life, the good bit that is, not the dying part.

Make the Nay-Sayers incorrect and yourself correct on all you want to have in your life, health, love, great relationships, and great job.

Anger, fear and sadness are not normal; To understand this you have to take a quantum leap into a world that is so different to anything we can hope to imagine. This world is all around us and we don’t even know it’s there. It permeates every cell of your body, and we are all involved with it weather we like it, believe in it or not. This world is the infinite world of thought.

None of this is information is new! It’s been around since the beginning of thinking and writing those thoughts down. I have been researching this for some time, and I have implemented it in my life in many ways, with fantastic results. William James who lived from January 11, 1842 – August 26, 1910 said.

“The greatest discovery of my generation is that human beings can alter their lives by altering their attitude of mind”.

Did you know? We have discovered neurotransmitters within the human body that actually explain how the mind-body connection works. Neurotransmitters are released from different glands; one is the hypothalamus (a small but powerful gland in your brain) in response to thoughts, beliefs and feelings and directly impact and controls the functions of all your organs, cells, molecules and atoms.

I know this all sounds a bit crazy and could be easily passed off as just another out there weirdo, who believes she can heal the world. Well actually I am, maybe not so weird though. To prove my point I am going to use the easiest example of this thought body connection. How does a man get an erection just by thinking about sex? Yes you see now don’t you?

This is now scientifically proven, a large number of medical studies demonstrate that negative emotions play a significant role in the development of heart diseases, chronic pain, autoimmune diseases and cancer.

Fear is the biggie, followed by sadness anger, anxiety, and shame, which are all related to fear anyway, they drain our energy and suppress our immune system. We sabotage ourselves and our addictive behaviour keep us stuck in old, destructive patterns. It’s all the non-supportive self-talk such as “it’s their fault” “I can’t do this” or “I don’t deserve this” preventing us from accessing our full potential and achieving a life deserving of our self.

Correct thinking, and right action create a self-empowered attitude and optimistic beliefs stimulate and enhance the healing process, and every other part of our lives. The integration and alignment of mind, body through thought provides, us with the most powerful resource for healing every part of our lives. ”Negative emotions, inner
conflicts and limiting beliefs are the most common factors that prevent us from changing, healing and succeeding.” There are some very simple methods of overcoming anything you are trying to heal in your life. The real problem lies with the fact that the easy things are also easy “not to do”. It all depends on how badly you want to change your life. It has been said we resist change, I believe we don’t resist change “when it’s our choice”.

So choose change over fear, change over anger, change over stress, and believe you can rise higher in life. Do a course, read some inspiring books, one of my favourites is a very simple read called the “Power of the Subconscious Mind”, by Joseph Murphy.

We have all at some stage in our life used this ever present power of thought to get some thing we want. Our problem lie’s in the fact that we didn’t pay attention
to the thought process that took place to achieve it, and didn’t give it the credit it deserved. So now we just keep plodding along wondering why nothing is working out, and we can’t seem to get a break. Pay very close attention to what you habitually think about every day, and see where you may be sabotaging yourself and change your mind.

The Emperor’s New Clothes

There is a well-known tale about a vain Emperor who cares for nothing but his appearance and attire, who hires two tailors who are really swindlers that promise him the finest, best suit of clothes from a fabric invisible to anyone who is unfit for his position or “just hopelessly stupid”.

The Emperor cannot see the fabric himself, but pretends that he can for fear of appearing unfit for his position; his ministers do the same. When the swindlers report that the suit is finished, they mime dressing him and the Emperor then marches in procession before his subjects, who play along with the pretence.

Suddenly, a child in the crowd, too young to understand the desirability of keeping up the pretence, blurts out that the Emperor is wearing nothing at all and the cry is taken up by others. The Emperor cringes, suspecting the assertion is true, but holds up proudly and continues the procession.

Are we being fooled just like the Emperor?

What if we were all walking around naked? And no-one is saying anything as not to offend anyone, or believing they must be hopelessly stupid. Now that’s an interesting concept.

I believe we are naked. Well not in the literal term, that would be bit tricky to say the least. The tailors dressing us in today’s fable are the beliefs we hold about having no control over our physical body and leaving it to doctors to fix when something goes wrong, add to that little or no attention being paid to the mind.

The information we’re being fed is skewed in favour of Pharmaceutical and big business (supermarkets) who both just want us to buy their products.

It strikes me as very interesting that we are lead to believe that health problems/diseases are inevitable and if you haven’t got one, there’s something wrong with you. And if you believe the TV commercials the cure always seems to come with a hot guy and rolling fields of flowers, or absolutely fantastic looking people with great teeth.

We seem to think health problems and disease are normal and we see images depicting them all around us every day. Is it normal? The quick fix is one of the worst things produced and proffered in advertising today, that all we need is the latest pill, the latest diet or diet product or to get something cut out.

I want you imagine you’re driving down the highway in your brand new car. A red light comes on, on the dash board. So you pull into the next service station and ask for a hammer, and you bash the red light out, as you smile to the attendant and pass the hammer back.

We don’t do it with our cars, do we? Why do we do it with our bodies? If a red light come on in the car there’s something wrong with the motor. If a pain comes on in the body, there’s something wrong with the motor (mind).

Your body has the innate ability to heal itself. If you have a cut or a burn on your hand, or a broken bone it heals “yes”, so your body knows how to heal itself. Now if you have an internal problem, we seem to think the body won’t heal that. How does the body tell the difference between the cut, burn, broken bone and an ulcer in the stomach, or a problem with the bowel? Does it say to itself well now you’ve gone and done it! I’m not healing that one?

You see just like in the tale if you are gullible enough or vein enough to believe what a couple of dodgy tailor’s tell you, (Health marketing) you’re going to be walking around naked (unknowing), because you think if you try a new tailor you may be seen as a fool (new aged).

Just like the tale, the information we allow to dress us may not have our best interests at heart. Now this tale can’t end here though; we have the choice to dress ourselves in the morning in whatever we want, we can choose new tailors and get into some paisley or tie dyes, or how about an Armani business suit, the choice is always up to us. Seek out information on how to become more aware of your mind, and utilise its endless possibilities. The road to health and the road to happiness are 2 lanes of the same highway.

The Emperor’s New Clothes By Lyn Collett

Life Really is Simple…

????????????????????Stop complaining and take the Four Simple steps to a balanced life

Creating a balanced life may seem unattainable if you are busy being busy, however health and fitness expert, Lyn Collett says it is easier than you may think. Here are her four tips to a balanced, content life;

  1. A sense of meaning and purpose, in work and activities.
Engage in meaningful, creative work. Do things that challenge your creativity and make you feel productive, whether or not you get paid for it — things like gardening, drawing, and writing, playing an instrument, or building something in your shed. Learn or discover new things. Think of it as ‘intellectual candy’. Try taking an adult education class, join a book club, visit a museum, or learn a new language.

Laughter really is the best medicine.

  2. Laugh long and often, smile all day … even at strangers (well start with friends until you get it right!).
We have so many sayings – I see them on the internet all the time, so why don’t we just do them? Laughter really is the best medicine; it’s been proven over and over again. If there is nothing to laugh about find something! Buy a joke book, go to a comedy night or watch a funny movie. It’s that easy!

Without you out there, I cannot be me here.

  3. Build and maintain fulfilling relationships.
Without meaningful relationships we simply don’t exist well; “Without you out there, I cannot be me here”. How often do you hear people talking about how bad someone else is? This is a cancer in society and needs to be left out of your vocabulary. To build better relationships with everyone in your life you need to first look at why you judge them? Because we generally judge others by how we judge ourselves. So your judgment is not of the others, but of yourself. Take time to find out why you judge and see what it is in you that you dislike so much and …

We generally judge others by how we judge ourselves.

  4. Let go of past data.
That person who abused you in some way 25 years ago – forgive them and move on; the parent who didn’t understand you – forgive them as they can only give you what they had at the time. The marriage that broke up and became an awful experience – stop blaming anyone for where you are right now. Forgiveness is the key to being healthier than ever, for it releases the negativity you have been harbouring and as a result releases you from the negative impact on your life. You know the other person is not thinking about what they did to you?

Forgiveness is the key to being healthier than ever.

So dump that past data sack you’ve been carrying around for so many years, as the weight of it lifts of your shoulders, the weight will also leave your body, in any form it has taken. Whether it is disease, body fat, skin problems or anything else, it will be gone as you forgive others, you forgive yourself as well.
